Almost 1,000 people braved the cold in Tamworth to march for Reconciliation, and The Northern Daily Leader wrote a great story featuring brilliant comments from one of our students.

Oxley Girls Academy student Ryli Johnson said equality was essential if Australia was to portray itself as “the land of the fair go”.

“For Aboriginal people, it means the wrongs of the past will not be repeated – that our culture will be respected and taught,” she said. “Reconciliation means students like me will be able to access a higher education and improve not only our lives but the lives of people around us, and ultimately this nation.”
