Our pathways approach
The Girls Academy program does not end when our students finish school. Our support extends beyond school to help girls move into meaningful pathways and lead lives of choice, not chance.
Post school staff work with graduates for two years after they finish Year 12 to ensure a successful transition to study, further training or employment. Our pathways program pillar is key to achieving our vision of courageous girls inspiring, leading and shaping Australia’s future. We are proud to have more than 11,000 Girls Academy alumni giving back to their communities.
Staff also act as the link between Academies, Year 12 students and potential employers or education institutions to find the best outcome for each girl.

Each post school transitions officer works with a set group of Academies in their region. They work with every student to develop a career plan that identifies a clear pathway to further education, training or employment.
The importance of partnerships
We know the power of collaboration and recognise the value of community and corporate partnerships, especially for our pathways objectives. Our program focuses on building strong relationships between girls and partners, so job or training placements have the best chance of success. We also work closely with universities and other further education institutions to ensure our graduates have access to opportunities in their regions.
