Girls Academy is delighted to welcome Bunzl as a partner.

Bunzl is a global business with diverse divisions, including cleaning and hygiene, health care, food processing and packaging.

With more than 50 warehouses and office facilities across Australia, Bunzl offers many ways for Girls Academy to build relationships at a local level that will benefit girls in the program.

Jennifer Tiffin, Human Resources Director at Bunzl, said the company was proud to be partnering with an organisation that is working on the ground to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls finish school and go on to further education or employment.

“We believe that investing in our local communities is the right thing to do and we believe that everyone counts,” she says.  “We have just commenced our journey with Girls Academy and are looking forward to working in partnership with the local Academies where we operate to provide mentoring and employment opportunities.”

Girls Academy CEO Ricky Grace welcomed the partnership, noting that support has been even more crucial in such a difficult year.

“COVID-19 has only increased the barriers the girls face in completing their education and finding a meaningful career,” he says. “It’s great that Bunzl, a global company with a big footprint in Australia, can partner with us this year to help reduce these barriers.”

Mr Grace said he was confident Bunzl’s support would not only help the girls finish their education but their diverse group of businesses and many locations across the country would open doors to future career opportunities.

“We welcome Bunzl aboard and are looking forward to working with their team around the country so that together we deliver on our purpose of “developing a girl, changing a community,” he says.
